In human design you have 2 profile lines. I am a 3/5 projector. The first number is the one you’re usually more conscious of, while the second number is more subtle. A 3 profile line means you learn through trial and error. You are actually attracted to things you’ll fail at because you’re meant to learn that way. You’re designed to share what you learned and help others through their life experiments.
Throughout my life, my tendency has been to dive into things head first without doing too much research or weighing consequences. Inevitably, I’ve failed A LOT. It’s created massive amounts of disappointment. The upside is that I’m super resilient and not afraid to jump into the next thing that will probably also fail. And I have endless stories to share with my friends, colleagues and clients about what I’ve been through.
Yesterday I got to share one of those failure stories with a dear client. I took a side job out of desperation that turned into big a mess. It seemed like a great opportunity until I started the position and realized it was NOT a match. She was in a similar situation, and with my advice was able to nip it in the bud only minutes after our coaching call. It was a great reminder that we go through challenging times in order to help others in similar situations.
Whether or not you have a 3 profile line, I think there’s a lot to gain from looking at your life as an experiment. We’re here to try different people, places and things to see what works and what doesn’t. There are no guarantees in life so you may as well have fun with it. Failure is only a step on the way to success.
I am constantly questioning myself and the choices I’ve made. Building a business from my soul has been an emotional roller coaster. I’m constantly wondering if this will be another failed experiment or not. But I know I have to keep going because my spirit won’t let me stop. I’m helping too many people and there are so many more out there waiting to meet me. I know I will die feeling fulfilled because I went for my dreams.
Look At Your LIfe As An Experiment
I hope this inspires you to jump in. Try something new. Take a little risk. Enjoy the uncertainty because that’s what makes life interesting. As long as you’re truly LIVING you’re not actually failing. Not now. Not ever.
